Queer Alterations For a Post-Nuclear Kin: Radical Family Structures of Care and Mutual Aid for Cyborgs and Goddesses

In Early 2024, I graphic designed this fantastic artist's book/zine for the artist Elektra KB.

The art book consists of a limited edition of 100 perfect-bound books. It was printed in Brooklyn, NY, by Radix Coop, crip labor hands with letterpress + holographic foil-stamped covers and digital insides and initially published for the New York Art Book Fair on April 2024.

This unique book can only be described in the artist's words: "A collection of photographs from post-nuclear families I have met throughout the years. —In queering the conventional nuclear family, an inherent reconfiguration of prevailing power dynamics emerges. This inquiry delves into how queer familial structures actively dismantle the bourgeois nuclear family archetype, motivated by a concerted effort to diverge from hetero-monogamous capitalist paradigms."
